Hello, everyone. I'm Riko Suzuki, a dental hygienist at Halulu Shibuya Dental Clinic.
In this blog post, I'd like to tell you why I decided to become a dental hygienist and what matters most to me in my daily work with patients.
Why I became a dental hygienist
My parents work in architecture and nursing, so when it was time to choose my own career, I had a hard time deciding between architecture (design) and a career in healthcare.
As I looked into healthcare careers, I chose to become a dental hygienist because the work calls for a delicate touch, much like design and the pursuit of beauty.
My philosophy of care
What matters most to me in my work is "helping you keep as many of your natural teeth as possible and protecting them for life."
I work hard to monitor and support the health of your mouth, so that no matter how old you get, you can keep enjoying delicious food with your own healthy teeth.
How I work with patients
My goal is "to help patients protect their own oral health (independence in dental health)."
Rather than having you simply receive care passively, I will give you advice and support you along the way so that you take an interest in your own mouth and feel positive about your daily self-care. I want to fit my care to each person's lifestyle and build good oral health together with you, as a team.
My goals at Halulu Shibuya Dental Clinic
I want to fully develop my skills and knowledge at Halulu Shibuya Dental Clinic and grow into a professional who can provide high-quality care independently.
I will keep working hard every day to become a dental hygienist who can offer real value through my own abilities and help our patients keep healthy smiles.
If you have any questions about oral care or prevention, please feel free to ask me at any time. We look forward to seeing you at our clinic.
