Lingual braces are an orthodontic treatment where the brackets and wire are attached to the back (tongue side) of your teeth. Because the appliance can't be seen at all from the front, you can straighten your teeth without the people around you noticing. Because the appliance is always in contact with saliva, it also has the advantage of making cavities less likely. However, lingual braces require more advanced skill than braces on the front of the teeth, so the cost and treatment time tend to be somewhat higher and longer.
